Raised in Oklahoma, award-winning filmmaker Eric McEver relocated to Tokyo during college to pursue a passion for Noh theatre. While working variously as an actor, translator, game developer, and animation producer, he developed an offbeat cinematic vision fusing the languages and idiosyncrasies of his two homes.

Between 2010 and 2012 he created The Sansaku, a bilingual, genre-fusing triptych of experimental films consisting of Tutor, Buddha Bento, and Out There Somewhere. He further honed his skills at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he wrote, produced, and directed shorts in Japan, Singapore, the United States, and China. His award-winning student film Layover screened at festivals in the United States and Europe.

He recently completed the multi-award winning Paleonaut, a time travel romance inspired by his lifelong affinity for paleontology, and A Utopia, a documentary chronicling a suicide-obsessed Japanese artist. He is currently developing a trio of feature films under his Ikémen Entertainment banner.

Anna's House needs your time and donations

Join Anna's House There are over 8,600 kids in Oklahoma State custody, and more than 2,000 of them are in Oklahoma County alone. The Anna’s House Foundation aims to provide the children with loving, supportive caretakers and a nurturing home, but we can’t do it on our own. There are so many ways you can join Anna’s House and help support foster children. Whether you are a foster family who has taken in a child in need, an alternate caregiver, a volunteer, or a financial donor, your time and talent is so valuable and necessary to our mission of fostering hope.

Donate to the Resource Room Although it may seem like summer is almost here, it’s never too late for some Spring Cleaning!  When you’re cleaning your home of all those unused items, think about donating them to the Anna’s House Resource Room instead of throwing them away. Right now, the Resource Room is especially in need of clothing for boys and girls - ages 5 - 13, as well as size 4 - 6 diapers and pull ups. These items can be dropped off at our offices or our volunteer coordinator, Britley, would be happy to pick them up from you!
