I am Stereotype Activity with post it notes and discussion - Sam and Shannon
The reaction was positive as this was the favorite activity for most participants. No matter how many times it is facilitated, it is always effective and feels like the first time. Noel took the post-it notes for the Interfaith Alliance to see the thoughts of diverse youth. As conclusion, participants will be proactive at standing against stereotypes. They will also not take it as a joke because it is hurtful. One participant requested to run the same activity, but about stereotypes not represented in YLOKC.

Watch Fordson Video – Buthiana
The video was debriefed as part of the reflection and evaluation of the meeting. The overall conclusion was that it was a great way to follow the I am skill builder (Stereotypes Activity)

End with yarn connectivity to share “ah ha” moment - Dane
Stereotypes and Book Holiday bags for Positive Tomorrows were memorable. The meeting was well organized, moved well and the process was engaging. One strong suggestion made by youth organizers and adult mentors was for YLeaders to be on time to meetings since the agendas are so packed and our time together is limited.
