On the 21st of September, Jeremy Gilley, creator of Peace One Day, reports that there will be peace walks in Tijuana, cycling in Kampala, football matches in Manila, prayers for peace in Jerusalem, flashmobs in London, festivals in Sydney, DJ sets in Dar es Salaam, roundtable debates with politicians in Moscow, distribution of fuel efficient stoves in IDP camps and vaccinations in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), water backpack distribution in Marsabit, Kenya, concerts in Kigali and Bujumbura, food drops and much more - this is only a tiny sample of what people are doing to mark Peace Day. The Casady Community Service-Learning Program in collaboration with the YAC Peace Team responded to the biggest call for peace the world has ever seen with promotion of the Compassion Games during the 11 Days of Global Unity through acts of kindness, compassion and service.
