This week (October 20-26) is National Teen Driver Safety Week, and YSA is joining in the celebration by putting YOUth in the Driver Seat!

To get started, download YSA's   YOUth in the Driver Seat: A Teen Driver Safety Semester of Service, a guide to support high school students, teachers, and youth development organizations as they develop and implement youth-led teen driver safety programs.

You can also order free printed copies (except for shipping costs) from YSA's online resource store.

For inspiration, check out our 2013-2014 State Farm Good Neighbor YOUth In The Driver Seat grantees and read our latest blog "Youth in the Driver Seat for Teen Driver Safety Week and Beyond" sharing activities taking place this week at Corner Canyon High School in Utah.

October is national bullying prevention month

The End of Bullying
Begins With me

from YSA October report
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. More than 160,000 U.S. students stay home from school each day from fear of being bullied.  Bullying is everyone's issue, and when we're united, the cause is strong. What will you do to help?

To get inspired, read the "
Make a Stand Against Bullying
" blog post about how two of YSA's National Child Awareness Month Youth Ambassadors are working to end bullying in their communities. Then, leave a comment on this post about how you'll make a stand against bullying in your school or community.
